March 2023 onwards
On a road to More Resilient Future

The journey through recovery post-injury marked a turning point for Teodor Bogdanov. It was a time to reclaim strength, resilience, and the indomitable fighting spirit. The goal was clear - challenge oneself in a way that nurtured the body while keeping that unwavering spirit alive for 24 hours.

Initially, the idea was to emulate Kevin's remarkable journey but with a twist – a grueling 24-hour endeavor combining running and swimming. However, the toll of ankle surgeries raised concerns, making the idea of more than 50 kilometers of running feel too risky.

Amidst this reevaluation, the path led back to the pool. Swimming, a sport loved but paused for years, was reignited. The embrace of the water, the sensation of gliding, and the endurance it demanded breathed new life into Teo. The choice was clear, and the vision became an epic 24-hour swim challenge.

This chapter represents a transition from the trials of injury to the rediscovery of a passion that would define the journey ahead.

Who am I?

I'm Teodor Bogdanov, a former national rugby team representative with over 15 years of dedication to the sport. Early this year, life threw me a curveball in the form of a severe injury that threatened to close the door on my beloved rugby career.

Why the 24-hour Swim Challenge?

In the face of adversity, I realized the need for a new challenge. The 24-Hour Swim Challenge was born from the desire to prove that when one door closes, another opens. It's a test of endurance, both physical and mental.

For 24 hours straight, I will swim, aiming to cover a minimum of two kilometers every hour. It's a grueling task, but it symbolizes the indomitable spirit to overcome adversity.

When is the event taking place?

On 18 December starting at 7:00 at Ezzys Zwembad, Uden. This challenge isn't just about me; it's about making a difference. The funds raised from this swim will support a vital cause: Aiding Families Facing Adversity and Contribution to MND / ALS: The proceeds will be dedicated to the Fight with the Motor Neuron Disease supporting directly affected families.

What we promise

We promise to give our all in this challenge. We promise to swim not just for ourselves but for those who need support. We promise that your support, in any form, will make a profound difference.

Our goal is clear: to turn challenges into opportunities, to make a positive impact and contribute to the fight against Motor Neuron Disease. Thank you for joining us in this transformative journey. Together, we can prove that when one door closes, another opens. Let's dive into this challenge and make a lasting impact.
